VINTAGE (possibly antique ?) 1854 REED & BARTON SILVER Plate Etched SILVERPLATE Ice Water PITCHER JUG. Measures around 13 inches from bottom base to tip of cover's handle, and the base measures 7-3/8 inches by 6-3/8 inches across. In good condition, this is old, preowned and has signs of wear and visible dents in both sides, tarnish and surface dents, SOLD AS IS, since its part of its characteristics being old, imperfections mentioned may not be clearly visible in photos, still functional considering its age. It has some etched / carved details and a 3D head of a woman at the water/liquid spout. There are several markings: at the inner side its marked Reed & Barton, Seamless Lining, Patended Nov 5 1867, at the bottom also marked Patented Stimpson, 1854, No 2511, Mf'd Plated by Reed & Barton, Extended For Seven Years. Its a quite heavy, almost six (6) pounds! Own a piece of beautiful item from the past, not only is it functional but also great decorative item perfect for mantle or display cabinet.
